ASA has been appointed by Thanet District Council to advise on the development of a Section 106 Agreement for the operation of Kent International Airport. The Agreement will cover key environmental issues including aircraft noise, night flying, air quality assessment and the implementation of a green travel plan.

Alan Stratford and Associates are currently reviewing the air traffic forecasts for the proposed development of Coventry Airport. The review, which has been commissioned by JMP Consulting on behalf of the Highways Agency, is designed to assess the impact of potential airport expansion on the local road network.

Yorkshire Forward and the Humber Trade Zone have commissioned ASA to undertake a feasibility study on a new perishables cargo facility at Humberside Airport. The study is being carried out in conjunction with Napier Consultants and the University of Stirling.

Alan Stratford and Associates have been appointed by the Irish Commission for Aviation Regulation to undertake a capacity study at Dublin Airport. The study, which covers terminal, runway and airspace capacity, is designed to assess whether Dublin should change from voluntary to full coordination status.

Funded under the European Commission’s TACIS programme of technical assistance, Alan Stratford and Associates are carrying out a post-hoc evaluation of a major ATC and airports consultancy and training project in Russia and the CIS. The evaluation involves the analysis of staff resources allocated to the project in accordance with specified requirements.

On behalf of Luton Borough Council, Alan Stratford and Associates carried out an assessment of options for the development of London Luton Airport. The evaluation involved an environmental and financial appraisal of an extension of the existing runway and five possible alignment options for a new replacement runway.
January 2004
In conjunction with Sinclair Knight Merz, Alan Stratford and Associates are undertaking a feasibility study for the development of Shenzhen International Airport in China. The project includes an assessment of Shenzhen’s future market position in relation to other competitive airports in the Pearl River Delta.
