Following its initial feasibility study, ASA has now been commissioned to prepare a Strategic Partner Prospectus to support the proposed new airline in West and Central Africa sponsored by SPCAR (Société de Promotion d'une Compagnie Aérienne Régionale). The airline is scheduled to commence operations by the end of 2007.

ASA is advising the planning consultancy, Barton Willmore, on the aviation aspects of a proposed new mixed use development near Bristol Filton Airport. The assignment involves an assessment of the airport safeguarding requirements and an evaluation of the potential noise implications for future residents and other occupants.

ASA has been commissioned by a consortium of investment banks to carry out a major feasibility study for a new regional and long-haul international airline in West and Central Africa. The new multi-national airline, which would replace Air Afrique, is supported by the Heads of State in the region. The consortium, designated as SPCAR (Société de Promotion d'une Compagnie Aérienne Régionale), includes three of the region's largest banks, Ecobank, BOAD and BIDC.

Following earlier work undertaken in March 2005, ASA is advising the Government of Côte d'Ivoire to establish a handling concession at Abidjan International Airport. An international tender is to be launched in May 2006, with the new concessionaire to start operations from January 2007.

ASA is undertaking an assessment of the potential demand for a new airside business park at City of Derry Airport in Northern Ireland. The assignment is being carried out on behalf of Ilex, the urban regeneration company for the Derry City Council area.

ASA is providing specialist advice on flying operations and obstacle clearance constraints at Elstree Aerodrome in Hertfordshire. This project has been commissioned by the National Grid.
