November 2007 Following its preliminary feasibility study, ASA is undertaking an analysis of possible fleet options for a new start-up airline in West and Central Africa. The evaluation covers the cost and operational suitability of different aircraft types under ACMI, longer-term operating lease and lease-purchase options. October 2007 ASA is preparing an assessment of the noise impact of a second runway at Manchester International Airport. The analysis will be used to support a claim by local residents under Part 1 of the Land Tribunal Act. October 2007 As part of the Planning Application, ASA is evaluating the operating implications of relocating the runway strip at Old Sarum aerodrome in Hampshire. It is proposed that the aerodrome is redeveloped as a heritage site whilst still retaining its aviation and flight training activities. June 2007 ASA is providing an Expert Witness, Peter Forbes, to appear at the Public Inquiry for the expansion of London Stansted Airport. The Proof of Evidence submitted to the Inquiry provides comments on the air traffic forecasts prepared by BAA plc. May 2007 On behalf of a group of residents living near Nottingham East Midlands Airport, ASA is evaluating the noise impact from a recent extension to the main runway. January 2007 ASA is providing advice in a legal case concerning the value of land used for car parking at Bournemouth International Airport. January 2007 As part of a Planning Application for a proposed new heliport near Dublin Airport, ASA is advising on potential flight routings and operational procedures in line with Irish Aviation Authority requirements.
