Airport Privatisation Studies Cyprus Airports Technical advisor to a consortium led by Price Waterhouse Coopers for the build-operate-transfer (BOT) development of two airports in Cyprus, Larnaca and Paphos. The work involved the preparation of bid documents for new terminals at each airport and tender evaluation. Manila International Airport Contracted by the Asian Development Bank to act as their consultant in reviewing the development proposals for the new International terminal at Manila. This terminal is to be built as a BoT project and ADB will be the principal lenders. The project included advice on the planning, engineering, financial, economic and environmental aspects of this development and monitoring of the project during construction. St Petersburg International Airport Commissioned by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (OPIC), to provide an operational, forecasting and financial appraisal of an international passenger terminal joint venture project. The work was later extended to review the promoter's revised business plan, to assess the viability of implementing the master plan in other areas of the airport, and to provide ongoing assistance to the Bank in respect of negotiations for project implementation. East Midlands Airport Commissioned by Touche Ross to provide specialist technical and aeronautical advice to enable their client, the eventual successful bidder, to evaluate their financial investment in the airport. The report covered the following fields: security; runway and pavements; navaids; lighting; and air traffic control; and aircraft operations. The objective of the study was to check whether the client was likely to face any hidden liabilities, constraints or obligations. |
