The key members of the ASA team are:
Peter Forbes
Peter Forbes is Director of Alan Stratford & Associates and has 24 years' experience in air transport planning and consultancy both in the UK and overseas.
Previously employed in senior management positions at British Caledonian Airways and the UK Civil Aviation Authority, his projects have covered all areas of the aviation sector including airport, airline and air traffic management.
His consultancy work has included policy analysis, traffic forecasting, new route evaluation, privatisation, and the financial and economic appraisal of a variety of airport, airline and ATM infrastructure developments.
He has also worked on secondment to the European Commission in Brussels, where he acted as a transport adviser to the EC's Tacis Programme. He has presented papers at various international aviation conferences and has contributed to several BBC and independant television and radio programmes on aviation issues.
Richard Lambert
Richard Lambert has 30 years experience in airport planning and development. Following an early career in the Royal Air Force, Mr Lambert qualified as a Civil Engineer, working initially for Luton County Borough Council on projects at Luton Airport. He subsequently joined West Midlands County Council where he was responsible for strategic planning policy relating to Birmingham International Airport. Between 1984 and 2001, he was employed by Birmingham International Airport, initially as Planning and Research Manager and subsequently as Head of Planning and Development.
Mr Lambert has been responsible for a wide range of projects at BIA, including the 10 year master plan, strategic land use and environmental plans and policies and transport and surface access studies. He was also closely involved in the development of BIA's satellite terminal, Eurohub and its new cargo centre.
Since leaving BIA in 2001, Mr Lambert has undertaken several consultancy studies and he has also been appointed by the Civil Aviation Authority to the Air Transport Users Council (AUC), the air passenger consumer body.
Dan Greenwood
Dan Greenwood has worked for over 38 years in senior positions in the transport industry. Following management positions with British Airways, Air Wales and the specialist aviation consultancy, Alan Stratford and Associates, he joined the European Commission (DG Transport) as an specialist expert on airport planning issues.
His consultancy projects have included airline and airport planning, feasibility studies, market research and environmental assessment. He continues to advise the European Commission on airport noise, aircraft emissions and environmental protection at and around airports.
Eli Abeles
Following a 27 year career at British Airways, Eli Abeles now manages his own aviation consultancy based in London, in association with Alan Stratford & Associates.
While at British Airways he was a senior member of the strategic and economic planning team, and latterly as deputy Head of Corporate Development he developed and took a leading role in British Airways' activities in the fields of alliances, joint ventures, acquisitions and mergers in Europe and the Americas.
His main contribution to the airline was in strategic analysis of airline markets, and of the economic and competitive environment, as well as British Airways' own marketplace strengths and weaknesses.
As a consultant has carried out a series of aviation-related economic analyses for a prestigious client list, including Air France, Aer Lingus, Olympic Airways and Britannia.
The team is supported by a number of other specialist consultants in specific fields including airport and airline engineering, ground operations, air cargo and aircraft noise assessment. |
