Alan Stratford and Associates (ASA) has been undertaking a review of air services to
St Helena, a remote island situated some 1,200 miles off the west coast of southern
Africa. Since the construction of a new airport which opened in 2016, air services
have been provided to and from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Ascension Island. St
Helena is a British Overseas Territory administered by the UK Foreign and
Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) and the St Helena Government.
