Manston Airport ACP

Alan Stratford and Associates is providing consultancy advice to Ramsgate Town Council for their response to the Airspace Change Proposal (ACP) for the re-opening of Manston Airport in Kent. If the cargo hub project were to proceed, flights to and from the airport would overfly Ramsgate causing significant noise disturbance for many residents.

Farnborough Airport Third Party Risk Assessment and Public Safety Zones (PSZs)

To evaluate the current planning application for the proposed changes to the aircraft movement limits and the Public Safety Zones (PSZs) at Farnborough Airport, Rushmore Borough Council has commissioned Alan Stratford and Associates to undertake a review of any possible changes in the third party accident risk to those living near the airport. This assessment is required due to a condition in the Local Plan regarding third party risk at Farnborough Airport.

Tower development – Canning Town, East London

ASA is undertaking an aviation impacts assessment for a proposed tower development (Holiday Inn Express) at Canning Town in East London.  The assessment, which takes account of the safeguarding requirements of London City Airport, will accompany the planning application and is prepared on behalf of the developer, RBH.

Development of Old Sarum airfield

Alan Stratford and Associates providing advice for a financial viability assessment at a planning appeal for the proposed development of Old Sarum airfield in Wiltshire. The plans involve building 315 houses on the site with new airfield infrastructure including an aviation hub, new hangars and the restoration of an existing World War I hangar.

Review of air services to St Helena

Alan Stratford and Associates (ASA) has been undertaking a review of air services to
St Helena, a remote island situated some 1,200 miles off the west coast of southern
Africa. Since the construction of a new airport which opened in 2016, air services
have been provided to and from Johannesburg, Cape Town and Ascension Island. St
Helena is a British Overseas Territory administered by the UK Foreign and
Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) and the St Helena Government.

Aviation Safeguarding Assessment – Plymouth City Airport

Expert panel-African aviation
