Air Traffic Forecasting
Air traffic forecasts underpin the market viability of all airport and airline development.
Using a range of econometric techniques, ASA provides passenger, cargo and aircraft movement forecasts at the total market and route levels. These forecasts can be used to determine airport capacity and facility requirements on a phased basis or, in the case of airlines, the appropriate choice of destinations served, aircraft capacity and service frequency. Sensitivity analysis is used to determine the upside and downside risks in these forecasts to market and other macroeconomic variables.
